The Apostle Paul thanked the believers in Philippi for their generous giving and ended his remarks by saying, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)
Financial giving can be divided into three categories: tithes, alms, and offerings. Scripture teaches us to worship the Lord with our tithe — ten percent of our income, given regularly. When we feel called to give above our tithe, we give an offering. When we give to help those in need, that's alms.
